Rain was recently surrendered to KHS after 2 years in the same home and is very scared here. She has spent most of the time hiding in the back of her cage and not wanting interaction for most of her time here so far. Today I went slow with her and she allowed me to pet her head but was still unsure and uncomfortable with more than that. We are hoping to send her to foster to decompress as she is not ready for adoption in this condition. 

Her previous owner reported her to be friendly in the home, and lived well with dogs and cats. She has not lived with children.

We usually always have cats and kittens that are being treated for upper respiratory infections. They are on meds for up to a week, and would love to recover in a home. They would just need to be kept separate from all resident cats.  If you can foster, or have questions about caring for kittens with URIs let us know!
